The steers have done well this summer on the Cambridge Commons and, in general, have been welcomed. They were transferred to the farm at the end of October and this was soon followed by the arrival of our autumn born calves and a rapid progression into the build up to Christmas markets. This autumn we have embarked on the sale
of pies and pasties, using our Red Poll meat. These are being prepared
and baked for us in Newmarket and have been introduced with a range of
sizes and fillings. The pasties and the individual and 4/5 portion size
pies are on general sale and a large, 8 portion size can be bought as a
special order:
For Christmas we are offering a seasonal Steak with Red Wine and Herb filling. Please place orders for Christmas as soon as possible for deliveries up to 20 December and collection from markets, as follows –
Our customer base has steadily grown and we are always heartened by our customers who return with appreciative comments. For us, this is what it is all about and it makes the early mornings in all weathers worthwhile. And finally, of course, we were delighted to learn that King’s College featured CamCattle Red Poll sirloin on their menu for the formal lunch, attended by the Queen during her visit to Cambridge University for the 800th anniversary celebrations. Home deliveries to store and freeze Boxes with a minimum order of £50, with your chosen cuts, can be delivered to your door on the dates below. Please choose your meat and the date of delivery with the order form. If you are not going to be in on the day please let us know as we can usually find alternative arrangements.
